Dr. Kim McLear
Kim McLear is an author, speaker, and social designer who works at the vibrant intersections of the arts, tech, wellbeing, civic engagement, and justice. CEO & Artist-In-Chief of Humanity Amplified Design Studio, Kim works with changemakers around the world to reimagine social innovation within workplaces, communities, and governments.
Kim previously served 20 years of distinguished public service as a senior officer in the U.S. Coast Guard, including details to the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency, and the Department of Homeland Security. A former professor, engineer, cabinet-level special assistant, and whistleblower, she is an internationally recognized champion for bravely exposing three of the largest cover-ups of racism, sexual assault, and retaliation in recent U.S. military history. Kim holds a Ph.D. in Systems Engineering from The George Washington University. She serves on boards for the American Psychological Association and the Royal Society of the Arts. Kim is a former State of the Union guest of honor who has been featured in numerous media outlets from CNN, Forbes, AP, to the New York Times, including a CROWN Act cover issue of Glamour Magazine.
